Delilah Gore was the oldest childof Eleazar Gore, who was of Scottish origin, a descendant of John Gorewho came from England to Boston, Mass. in 1630. Eleazar Gore was born1757, d. 1830. He was a Private, South Carolina Rangers Am. Rev. m.Elizabeth Murray, b. 1760 d. 1834. One half Indian ancestry, her motherbeing a full blood Indian. Delilah Gore was born 1777. d. Feb 18, 1855age 58 years. Buried in Franklin, Illinois. Luke Mayfield lived inChester, SC, Huntsville, Alabama and Georgia. They had thirteen children.
